Microsoft Excel Training

What is a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet can be as simple as a table for organising and manipulating data in a structured way or a sophisticated tool for complex calculations and data analysis.

Data in a spreadsheet is arranged in rows and columns. Functions and formulae can be used to perform calculations and analyse your data.

Microsoft Excel is currently the most-used spreadsheet program in the workplace.

Why use a spreadsheet?

Using a spreadsheet makes tasks like sorting, searching and even producing graphs and charts very simple to do. Excel has built-in features to automate data-processing to reduce the potential for errors and to increase the reliability of data reporting.

Many roles require the use of spreadsheets and there are very many data-processing scenarios which are well suited to using a spreadsheet.
